As noted, all the time in the world doesn’t necessarily open your brain and body to endless motivation to run, train and take those first steps to marathon training…but you know what does? NEW SHOES! Oooh yea!
Here are the shoes that are going to take me from now until I cross the marathon finish line in Chicago this October. Granted, training doesn’t officially start until June, but I wanted to start breaking in new shoes this winter/spring so they are good and ready to carry me long distances this summer. And since I’ve never had a concept of how many miles I put on a shoe, I dated these with a Sharpie on my purchase date, and plan to add a tally for every mile I put on them. Process photos to follow…!
