What a fun combo I found for my look today! This little hot pink dress is quite loud, as is the small plaid patterned purple shirt, but together they (ok, kind of) mute each other a bit!
Dress: KMart (total steal at $8!), Shirt: Gap, Shoes: gojane.com, Necklace: Banana Republic
How about that pretty background!? I had my monthly book club tonight and we hit the local winery for some vino and flatbread pizzas. I mean what is a better way to spend a night than with wine, girlfriends and pizza!?!! Sometimes we even talk about the book! 😉
Ahhh, a great shoe to end a great day…we made it past hump day everyone, woohoo!
I’m not going to lie, I can’t get my mind even close to fall fashion. I’m just not ready to let my summer clothes go. So I’m holding on…tight.
So I turned my cute summer maxi dress in a skirt and made it work for the office. Score!
Dress: Jessica Simpson via Von Maur, Shirt: Express, Belt: J.Crew, Shoes: Steve Madden via DSW
I’m loving the way this belt is tied. It was inspired by this cool infogram on Pinterest.
I cheesed it up for my husband since he snapped these pictures for me. I usually use my timer! 🙂
One of my most favorite pair of summer shoes I’ve ever owned. They go with everything. Oh, and make me like 3 inches taller! 🙂
How about you, are you ready for Fall Fashion!?!
It was another hot day today, and I am gearing up for the Jimmy Buffett concert tomorrow in Alpine Valley, so I sported a fun and colorful floral top to round out my casual week!
Shirt: Old Navy, Jeans: Silver via Von Maur, Shoes: Anne Klein
I love the print of this shirt! Wouldn’t this be a fun print to have in a sun porch or summer cottage!?
Polka dot soles and floral details…what’s not to love about these summer cuties?!
Have an awesome weekend everyone!
I’ve really learned to enjoy the finer denims of the world during my later 20s because wearing them is a treat. Back in college when you wear them all the time you just need LOTS of pairs. But when you can only wear them a day or two a week, one nice pair can last years. Hence my huge (for me!) splurge on a pair of 7 For All Mankind’s. Here is casual look number four this week.
Shirt: New York & Company, Jeans: 7 For All Mankind, Shoes: Target, Necklace: Brighton
I love the print and style of this shirt. The little collar makes it nice and work-ready!
I bought this charm necklace awhile ago as a staple for those days when you just want a little something and it goes with everything. I started with the sparkle and Love charms and then my BFF bought me the Friend one because, ‘it’s the one I know you’d never buy for yourself’. Isn’t she so smart and sweet!?! 🙂
Who doesn’t love Mary-Janes??!!
Happy Hump Day!! Here is my business casual look #3. I have to admit its a little casual for me when it comes to a work day. I put all my faith in the shoes for making it appropriate! Then higher, the more professional, right?! 🙂
Shirt: Express, Jeans: Old Navy, Scarf: Old Navy, Shoes: Payless, Bracelet: Cedar Rapids Farmer’s Market(!!)
I love this scarf, it can be worn so many ways!
A great find at the market, $3!
These are my ‘don’t mess with me shoes’!!
All this blue makes me feel like I’m wearing a ‘Canadian tuxedo’, but the different prints and materials help!;)
Here is my business casual look #2:
Shirt: Kmart (score!), Vest: NY&Co., Jeans: Express, Shoes: Vince Camuto via Von Maur
I’m loving the plaid/argyle combo!!
Today is my 2nd anniversary with my dreamy hubs that I love more than I did then…which is pretty crazy to think about!
I will always look back fondly on our wedding day. Friends and family from near and far; dancing, sweating, singing and drinking like we were one big happy family. And since that day, we have been.
To my hubs:
Thank you for loving me just the way I am. On good days and bad days. Thanks for making us a team that seems to make it all work in our own crazy way. Thank you for keeping adventure in our lives and a smile on my face. Thanks for being you. Cheers to another great year gone and many fabulous ones ahead!
